A Global Platform for Performing Arts, India. SANSKAR believes in gathering knowledge from a multi-disciplinary source/ origins/ so that it may create an imprint towards the future.
We strive to unite together, empower and bring visibility to performing arts in India and South Asia in connection with the rest of the world.
SANSKAR held their first International Dance festival in Goa, India in January 2020.
SANSKAR hosted its first Virtual Performance Festival in August 2020 online.
The second edition of SANSKAR’s International Dance Festival - scheduled to be held in February 2025
DANCE ON SCREEN offers multifaceted, unforgettable dance film experiences, with short dance films and documentations that present dance on screen within different cultures and contexts. Dance movies that reflect thoughtfully and illuminate political and social topics, are just as much represented as pure poetic dance movies.
BOOMING – DISTURBING – ENRICHING
DANCE ON SCREEN wants to draw attention to the genre of dance film and is offering dance films, their makers and audience an interactive platform in the international context.
